Tripoli, Libyan frontline

It's a day like any other in Tripoli. The city wakes up in the early morning hours, before the humid heat of July becomes unbearable.Over a thousand people have been killed and hundreds of thousands displaced since the civil war in Tripoli began over six months ago. The fighting in and around the capital of Libya, Tripoli between forces and militias loyal to Prime Minister Fayez al-Sarraj, and General Khalifa Haftar's self-proclaimed Libyan National Army has continued to harm civilians as they get caught in the crossfire. Many airstrikes and attacks are launched from both sides worsening the humanitarian crisis currently taking place in the fight for Tripoli. As the deadly attacks by the LNA seize control of the city, the people of Libya continue their fight for democracy and survival as they attempt to go about their daily lives under siege.
